NEW MC3 Workshop Schedule

Length: 8 hours it starts at 8:30am and runs through 5pm with a half hour lunch break.
The course fee includes the course material, CPR/First Aid and AED Certificates as well as the EMSA sticker. This 8-hour course meets the California State Regulations for child care providers and teaches Infant/Child/Adult CPR/ First Aid and ADE. In CPR participants practice life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and care for choking on manikins. First Aid teaches injury prevention and how to respond to emergencies and accidents.
This class covers age birth to adult, though emphasis is placed on pediatric ages cared for in child care programs. You’ll receive a two year certification, after completion of class.

• You must be on time (please arrive 5 minutes prior for processing)
• NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ADMITTED TO CLASSES
• NO infants or children allowed to accompany
participants to classes.
• Wear comfortable clothes, you will be practicing on manikins

Health and Safely classes
This is the 8 hour course that is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family child care provider. The course includes:
Recognition, management & prevention of infectious disease
Sanitary Food Handling
Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse
Prevention of childhood injuries
Emergency preparedness & evacuation
Caring for children with special needs
***This is a two-part training you must attend both days to receive your certificate.
