DUE TO COVID all our CPR/First Aid and Health and Safety classes are cancelled, but we are able to reimburse you if you are taking this class somewhere else in the community.
Please make sure you submit your reimbursement forms between July 1st, 2020 through June 30th, 2021.
Pediatric CPR/First Aid Classes
This 8-hour course should meet the California State Regulations for child care providers and teaches Infant/Child/Adult CPR/ First Aid and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In CPR participants practice life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and care for choking on manikins. First Aid teaches injury prevention and how to respond to emergencies and accidents.
This class covers age birth to adult, though emphasis is placed on pediatric ages cared for in child care programs. You’ll receive a two year certification, after completion of class.
Health and Safely classes
DESCRIPTION
This is the 8 hour course is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family child care provider. You will receive a certification after completion, and there is no need to retake this course once you've done it. The course includes:
