There is a class on the calendar, that is not on the registry, the Provider Support Brigade.  This class will be ongoing and will not require a sign-up to attend.  We will send out additional information about this class as the date gets closer.

DUE TO COVID19 restrictions all our CPR/First Aid and Health and Safety classes are cancelled, and as of June 7th our reimbursement funds have been depleted. 

As soon as we're ready to hold classes in house again we will be posting the dates on this page.



Pediatric CPR/First Aid Classes 

This 8-hour course should meet the California State Regulations for child care providers and teaches Infant/Child/Adult CPR/ First Aid and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In CPR participants practice life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and care for choking on manikins. First Aid teaches injury prevention and how to respond to emergencies and accidents.

This class covers age birth to adult, though emphasis is placed on pediatric ages cared for in child care programs. You’ll receive a two year certification, after completion of class.

Health and Safely classes 


This is the 8 hour course is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family child care provider. You will receive a certification after completion, and there is no need to retake this course once you've done it. The course includes:

  • Recognition, management & prevention of infectious disease

  • Sanitary Food Handling

  • Child Nutrition

  • Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse

  • Immunizations

  • Prevention of childhood injuries

  • Emergency preparedness & evacuation

  • Caring for children with special needs
