Outdoor learning can be achieved in a variety of spaces and ways; where small changes can make a big difference for young children. Attendees will learn about the value of creating and engaging young children in outdoor learning environments, along with ways to design and use outdoor environments for learning.
Who should attend?
Agencies and organizations serving young children, working with and/or in early care and education (ECE) sites, such as family child care homes, child care centers, preschools or similar settings.
After this training participants will be able to:
1. Define what an outdoor learning environment is and how it can benefit young children.
2. Discuss how outdoor learning environments can be used for learning by ECE providers and teachers caring for young children.
3. Describe 2-3 outdoor learning environment features that can benefit learning.
