Strengthening Families – Social/Emotional Competence

In this training we will learn characteristics of children who are emotionally healthy and identify what is realistic in terms of social and emotional skills for children at different developmental stages. We will look at strategies that can help children develop strong social and emotional skills, and we will begin to   recognize how this protective factor can help make child maltreatment less likely to occur.
